Deal: Mitsubishi 73 3d-Prepared Hdtv – $1379

The loudest buzz-word in the industry these days is 3D. One thing that rarely comes attached to AV industry hype-trains, however, is the word cheap.

Theres almost always a very hefty early-adopter tax associated with any new bleeding-edge technology, and 3D is no different. With Panasonics 50 3DTV combo pack coming in at around $2,800 and displays from Samsung sharing similar price points, the cheap 3D HDTV horizon might seem pretty far away … especially if you want something with a bit more size than most.

That is, unless you can handle a previous years model that you cant quite hang on the wall.

Dell Home currently has the Mitsubishi WD-73C9, a 73 1080p DLP display thats also 3D capable, for only $1,379 with free shipping. The 73C9 is compatible with the Nvidia 3D Vision system for HTPC based gaming and video, and will be compatible with 3D Blu-ray from upcoming players with the aid of an already announced converter box.

Nvidia has also announced that 3D Vision will be compatible with 3D Blu-ray via their upcoming 3DTV Play software upgrade. This is one time smart shoppers can get the biggest and newest tech for a bargain price, all at the same time.
